Verizon One, Breakthrough Communications Command Center, Now Available to Verizon Consumer DSL Customers Nationwide

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon is transforming the home communications experience for Verizon Online DSL consumers by integrating key broadband technologies into a sleek, high-tech phone called Verizon One. The device, which has been available on a limited basis, is now being rolled out nationwide.

Verizon One integrates a DSL modem, 802.11g wireless router, 5.8 Ghz cordless phone, color-touch screen, Super Pages features and more, allowing users to efficiently manage all of their communications needs and devices. It is one of this year's recipients of a Frost and Sullivan Product Innovation Award and will be featured this weekend at the Digital Life Expo, a consumer electronics show in New York City.

Verizon One's features include visual call logs; one-touch dialing from Verizon SuperPages search results (including access to maps and driving directions); on-screen memo pad; personal calendar; address book entry directly from call logs and online directory assistance; and easily accessed updates on local weather, news, sports, stocks and entertainment highlights (such as movie listings and show times). Customers can customize the content based upon their interests and tailor the touch screen display with their personal photos to create unique backgrounds and screen savers.

When reinforced with iobi, Verizon's communications integration service, Verizon One offers an additional, rich feature-set including one-touch dialing, visual voice mail, scheduled call-forwarding, and real-time call management.
