Michael Pram Rasmussen to Join the JPMorgan Chase International Council
NEW YORK, January 24 /PRNewswire/ -- JPMorgan Chase announced today the appointment of Michael Pram Rasmussen, Chairman of A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S, Topdanmark A/S and Coloplast A/S, to the firm's International Council.
The International Council is composed of business leaders and prominent individuals from public life around the world and advises the senior management of JPMorgan Chase on matters relating to its global business. The International Council's chairman is former United States Secretary of State George P. Shultz. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair joined the council earlier this month.
In addition to his chairmanships, Mr. Pram Rasmussen is vice chairman of Maersk Olie og Gas A/S and a board member of William Demant Holding A/S, Oticon A/S and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. He is also a member of the advisory board of Danske Bank A/S.
Mr. Pram Rasmussen graduated as a lawyer from the University of Copenhagen in 1980. After holding executive management positions in some of the largest Danish insurance companies, Mr. Pram Rasmussen became president and chief executive officer of Topdanmark A/S in 1996, the second largest non-life insurance company in Denmark, a position he held until 2006. In 2003 he was made a Knight of the Dannebrog.
