The Coca-Cola Company Q3 Profit Increases, beats estimates

(RTTNews) - The Coca-Cola Company (KO) reported a profit for its third quarter that increased from the same period last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's earnings came in at $3.09 billion, or $0.71 per share. This compares with $2.83 billion, or $0.65 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, The Coca-Cola Company reported adjusted earnings of $3.21 billion or $0.74 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.65 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 8.0% to $11.95 billion from $11.06 billion last year.
