Sopra to Provide French Armed Forces with Future Payroll System

The French defence ministry has selected Sopra (Paris:SOP) and its subsidiary Sopra HR Software to design Source Solde, its military payroll system, in cooperation with the ministry’s military procurement (DGA) and human resources (DRH-MD) departments.

Within the scope of this programme, Sopra will be developing a solution based on a software system known for its reliability and perfectly adapted to the needs of businesses and large governmental structures alike: Sopra HR Software systems already handle twelve million people managed worldwide. In France, one out of two public officials already benefits from these solutions.

An initial version of Source Solde will be introduced at the end of 2015. The test, control, and preparation phases of the roll-out will continue into 2016. Final implementation in the Navy is set for the first half-year of 2017. Source Solde will eventually manage the payroll of 250,000 armed service members.

The Sopra and Sopra HR Software teams are already working closely with teams at the Defence Ministry to complete this new payroll system.
