QUALCOMM Inc. (QCOM) is up 5 percent to $72.61 amidst reports that activist investor Jana Partners LLC urged the chipmaker to consider a breakup and other options.

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) is gaining nearly 3 percent to $467.25.

Arrowhead Research Corp. (ARWR) is rising 15 percent to $9.11 after FDA gave the nod to proceed with a multiple-dose Phase 2b clinical study of ARC-520, its clinical candidate for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection.

Builders FirstSource, Inc. (BLDR) is surging 53 percent to $10.59 after it agreed to acquire ProBuild Holdings LLC , professional building materials supplier, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.63 billion.

Symantec Corp. (SYMC) is down over 2 percent to $24.97, giving back much of the 5.59 percent jump it notched up on Friday amidst reports that it is exploring the sale of its Veritas data-storage and recovery business.
