Oracle Q4 Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Oracle Corp. (ORCL) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $2.8 billion or $0.62 per share, compared to $3.6 billion or $0.80 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $3.5 billion or $0.78 per share, compared to $4.2 billion or $0.92 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenue for the fourth quarter fell 5% to $10.71 billion from $11.32 billion a year earlier, while adjusted revenue also increased 5% to $10.71 billion from $11.33 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.87 per share on revenue of $10.95 billion for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
