Nike Inc Earnings Decline 9% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Nike Inc (NKE) announced a profit for second quarter that lost ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $767 million, or $0.46 per share. This was lower than $842 million, or $0.50 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.40 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.5% to $8.55 billion. This was up from $8.18 billion last year.
