Lawsuit Claims Starbucks Underpours

(RTTNews) - Two Californians have filed a lawsuit against Starbucks alleging that the coffee giant sells under-filled lattes.

The class-action lawsuit claims that Starbucks' system "knowingly and systematically" under-fills its lattes by 25 percent than what it menu promises.

The lawsuit also claims that there is excessive amount of foam in Starbucks coffee and that the size of the cups doesn't match up with advertised ones.

"The serving cups used by Starbucks for its Lattes are simply too small to accommodate the fluid ounces listed on Starbucks' menu. For example, the serving cup used for Grande beverages holds exactly 16 fluid ounces, when completely full. However, Starbucks' standardized recipe for its Grande Latte calls to fill the serving cup up to 1/4 inch below cup rim.'"

The plaintiffs are Siera Strumlauf and Benjamin Robles and they have filed suit on behalf all customers of Starbucks.
