Jefferies Reportedly Hires Deutsche Bank's U.S. Mining Banker Team

(RTTNews) - Jefferies Group hired six members of Deutsche Bank AG's (DB) U.S. metals and mining investment banking team, including managing director Dan Chu, Bloomberg reported citing people familiar with the matter.

Chu and the five other Deutsche Bank staff agreed last week to join Jefferies's global metals and mining group. Chu will be global head of metals and mining investment banking based in New York, as well as head of metals and mining M&A, the report said.

The report noted that Dieter Hoeppli will be a managing director in the M&A group and chairman of metals and mining, while Jerrod Freund will join as a managing director heading up the Americas metals and mining investment banking team.

Christoph Hinder will be a managing director, while Oliver Dachsel becomes a senior vice president at Jefferies and Johnston Suter will be a vice president, all in the global metals and mining investment banking group.
