Facebook, Inc Bottom Line Rises 42% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Facebook, Inc (FB) revealed a profit for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $1.63 billion, or $0.57 per share. This was higher than $1.15 billion, or $0.43 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.52 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 40.6% to $4.50 billion. This was up from $3.20 billion last year.
