CSC Appoints Paolo Lavatelli Managing Director of Italian Operations

ALDERSHOT, England, October 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC), a leading global information technology (IT) services firm, announced today that Paolo Lavatelli, 43, has been appointed managing director of the company's operations in Italy.

Prior to joining CSC, Lavatelli served FIAT Group as both managing director of Fiat Gesco and chairman of KeyG Consulting. Previously, he was chief financial officer of EDS Italia and managing director of EDS Servizi ICT.

"Paolo Lavatelli has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry and the proven ability to exceed business goals," said Guy Hains, president of CSC's European Group. "His leadership skills will help him achieve key results for both our Italian operations and the diverse range of clients we serve."

Lavatelli holds a degree in political science and an executive master's degree from SDA Bocconi in Milan. He has also completed the General Manager Program at the Harvard School of Business in Boston.
