Coors Brewing Company Proudly Supports the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic

Coors Brewing Company today announced it will sponsor the upcoming Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic. Coors has been a major sponsor of the popular Classic between two historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) for most of the event’s 18-year history. The Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic is organized by The 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. to benefit Project Success, the organization’s post-secondary preparation and tuition assistance program for at-risk youth. Coors’ involvement over the years has helped Project Success raise millions of dollars in scholarships for students from underserved communities. "The Atlanta Football Classic offers an excellent opportunity to show our support of HBCUs and of community partners such as 100 Black Men of Atlanta,” says Ervin Lee, director of African-American brand marketing/sales programming. "Once again, we are proud to share in the tradition and excitement surrounding this historical match-up between two fine teams.” This year’s Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic features Tennessee State University (TSU) seeking gridiron revenge against Florida A&M University (FAMU) at the Georgia Dome at 3:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 30. The FAMU Rattlers secured a last-minute victory from the Tennessee Tigers in a close game last season, beating them 12 to 7. The game also will feature a stirring half-time performance by the powerful TSU Aristocrat of Bands and the mighty FAMU Marching 100.
