Check Point Software Technologies Ltd Announces 5% Rise In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (CHKP) revealed a profit for its first quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $187.09 million, or $1.06 per share. This was up from $178.84 million, or $0.95 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.03 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.5% to $404.27 million. This was up from $372.58 million last year.
