Check Point Software Q4 Results Beat Estimates - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (CHKP), a pure-play security vendor, reported Thursday that its fourth-quarter net income was $194.60 million, compared to $185.78 million in 2014. Earnings per share were $1.08, compared to $0.98 last year.
Adjusted net income was $216 million, compared to $203 million a year ago. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.20, compared to $1.07 in 2014.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.15 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue increased 9 percent to $458.07 million from $420.64 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $457.08 million.
Subscription revenues grew 22 percent, driven primarily by customer demand for advanced threat prevention technologies.
As of December 31, 2015, deferred revenues were $906 million, 16 percent higher than $784 million as of December 31, 2014.
Gil Shwed, founder and chief executive officer, said, "We completed 2015 with revenues in the upper half of our range and earnings that exceeded our projections. … In 2016, we will continue to provide threat prevention solutions and technologies that will enable more customers to stay one step ahead of the threats on their network, mobile and cloud environments."
