Apple Bans Selfie Sticks From June 8 WWDC

(RTTNews) - More and more places are becoming off limits for selfie sticks. Here is one more. Computing and electronics giant Apple Inc. (AAPL) has made it clear that it will not be allowing selfie sticks at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015, which takes place June 8 - 12, 2015 at Moscone West in San Francisco, California.

In the Registration and Attendance Policy section of WWDC 2015, it is mentioned: "In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens."

So if you are attending WWDC 2015, leave your selfie stick in the hotel room.

WWDC features more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs, and the Apple Design Awards. Sessions are scheduled for 5 full days, including Friday afternoon. The conference will focus on iOS, Mac OS X and there are rumors that Apple will launch its internet TV service at WWDC 2015.

Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. One must be a WWDC ticket holder to attend the conference and special events. Each ticket to attend WWDC costs $1599 and includes access to five days of sessions, hands-on labs, and special events.

Because of limited availability, tickets are allocated through a random selection process. Those wishing to attend the conference should register by Friday for a chance in the lottery. Their status will be known by Monday, April 20.
