American Greetings Interactive Expands Global Mobile Team

- Completes Acquisition Integration in North America and Europe
AG Interactive (AGI), the new media subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation (NYSE: AM), announced today several new executive appointments and the final integration of its global mobile operations after a series of acquisitions. The expansion of the team underscores the growth and success of AGI's cross-platform self and social expression products worldwide along with the integration of Paris-based K-Mobile and St. Paul-based MIDIringtones.
Bryan Biniak, senior vice president and general manager of AGI's North American mobile business, ha offices s been promoted to oversee the unit's global mobile activities, including in Cleveland, Los Angeles, St. Paul, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, and Bucharest. John Dearborn, senior vice president and general manager of International mobile efforts based in Paris, will return to the company's Cleveland, Ohio, headquarters where he will oversee AGI's global Ventures business, which includes its instant messaging, email, and social networking products and services.

Details of the Appointments:
The expansion of Biniak's responsibilities follows the successful launch in 2004 of the company's new mobile services in the Americas. AGI's mobile business creates original content and publishes a vast portfolio of branded personalization, entertainment, information and messaging products through more than 25 carriers globally as well as its branded mobile content lines including Univision Movil, Def Jam Mobile, MIDIringtones, Kiwee, Blue Mountain, and American Greetings.
Prior to his position at AGI, Biniak served as chief operations officer and executive vice president of Sales and Marketing at Vivendi Universal's wireless subsidiary, Moviso, chief executive officer of China-based MusicZone, and vice president of video game developer Harmonix Music Systems. He currently serves as a board member of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), and as a member of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association's (CTIA) Executive Committee. He is co-chairman of CTIA's Mobile Content Committee where he is working to establish industry policies on content classification and ratings, DRM, and superdistribution in the United States.
Joining Mr. Biniak's existing team are the following veteran mobile executives:
- Francis Cohen has been tapped as the vice president of AGI's European operation and will manage worldwide media production, development, and operations in Europe. Prior to AGI, he co-founded K-Mobile, a high- profile wireless content leader based in France which was acquired by AGI in 2004. Cohen also worked extensively as a business development and strategy consultant at Arthur D. Little and the WorldBank. - Christian Harris, recruited from Zed, a provider of mobile phone content, has been named country manager for the United Kingdom. Harris most recently served as partnership director and global marketing manager of Zed. At Zed, he was responsible for building the relationships with all major UK mobile operators, including Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and O2. He also tripled monthly revenues for the division during his tenure. Prior to working at Zed, Harris was a television producer for the Guardian Media Group. - Jerome Villain has been appointed country manager for France and Benelux. Villain previously served as European sales manager at 9 Telecom (fka Ldcom) and manager at Arcom, a telecommunications consultancy based in the UK. - Armando Avila has been appointed country manager for Spain. Avila previously served as mobile applications manager at Telefonica Moviles, and business development manager for Mobileway where he built their business in Spain. - Don Kuramura, recruited from Sony Pictures Mobile, has joined AGI as the executive director of mobile product management. He will be responsible for the strategy, development, and management of AGI's global portfolio of mobile applications and media. At Sony Pictures, Kuramura spent the past three years as the director of product development, where he was responsible for defining and managing the mobile product roadmap, leading development and product teams across Sony brands including Charlie's Angels, Wheel of Fortune, JEOPARDY!, and xXx as well as Sony's highly successful global launch of Spider-Man 2 in over 40 countries in 2004.
