Aehr Test Systems Stock Soars 34%

(RTTNews) - Aehr Test Systems, Inc. (AEHR) shares surged 34.25 percent, gaining $24.66 to trade at $96.67 on Wednesday possibly after the semiconductor test equipment maker reported yesterday a return to quarterly profitability and stronger revenue.

The stock opened at $98.35 and traded between $95.00 and $110.20 during the session on the Nasdaq. It has traded in a 52-week range of $14.01 to $126.62. Trading volume reached 5.37 million shares, compared with an average daily volume of 2.51 million shares.

For the fourth quarter, the company posted net income of $1.39 million, or $0.04 per share, compared with a net loss of $2.90 million, or $0.10 per share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 33.7 percent to $18.84 million from $14.09 million. For the full year, Aehr reported a net loss of $7.13 million, or $0.23 per share, on revenue of $50.00 million, compared with a net loss of $3.91 million, or $0.13 per share, on revenue of $58.97 million last year.
