Poland Current Account Gap Narrows In February

(RTTNews) - Poland's current account deficit narrowed in February, figures from the National Bank of Poland showed Friday.

The current account gap shrunk to EUR 572 million from EUR 825 million in January. Economists had forecast a deficit of EUR 460 million.

The visible trade surplus fell to EUR 179 million from EUR 426 million in the previous month. The surplus in the services trade rose to EUR 456 million from EUR 296 million.

Current transfers showed a surplus of EUR 17 million versus a deficit of EUR 273 million in the previous month.
