Ziggo Confirms Talks On Possible Offer By Liberty Global - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Responding to media reports, Dutch broadband provider Ziggo confirmed that it is currently in discussions with Liberty Global regarding a potential offer for the company by U.S. cable group Liberty Global Plc. (LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK).

Earlier, there were reports that Liberty Global was preparing to make a new bid for Ziggo. Liberty Global may make the offer before the end of this year, although that timeline could slip into 2014.

In October, Ziggo, about 30 percent already owned by Liberty Global, had rejected a takeover bid from Liberty Global as inadequate.
