Watsco Q3 Profit Increases

(RTTNews) - Watsco Inc. (WSO) Wednesday announced third quarter net profit attributable to the company of $65.03 million, up 3 percent from $63.09 million in the prior year. On a per share basis, earnings improved 2 percent to $1.82 from $1.78 in the prior year.

On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.95 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter were $1.229 billion, slightly down from $1.241 billion a year ago. Wall Street was looking for $1.26 billion.

Looking ahead to the full year, Watsco expected earnings per share in the range of $5.50 to $5.60.
