Verifone Q4 Earnings Tops Street

(RTTNews) - Verifone (PAY) Monday reported fourth-quarter loss of $4.5 million or $0.04 per share, compared to profit of $38.2 million or $0.33 per share last year. Adjusted earnings were $0.30 per share, down from $0.49 per share.

Revenues for the quarter dropped 9.7 percent to $464.2 million from $514.1 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $461.3 million.

Looking forward to the full year, Verifone expects adjusted revenues of $1.900 billion to $1.915 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.35 to $1.39 per share. For the first quarter, revenues of about $450 million and earnings of about $0.20 per share.
