Umpqua Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Umpqua Holdings Corp. (UMPQ) Wednesday reported second-quarter net income to common shares of $26 million or $0.23 per share, compared with $23 million or $0.21 per share last year.

Excluding items, operating earnings for the quarter were $27 million or $0.24 per share, compared with $23.5 million or $0.21 per share a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.22 per share for the quarter.

Net interest income for the quarter slid to $93 million from $101 million last year. Non interest income was higher at $35 million, compared with $29 million.

Analysts estimated revenues of $131.92 million for the quarter.

Net interest margin for the quarter slid to 3.73% from 4.06% in the prior year.
