The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. Q3 Income Rises 13%

(RTTNews) - The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK) announced a profit for its third quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $828 million, or $0.74 per share. This was up from $734 million, or $0.64 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.71 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.3% to $3.80 billion. This was up from $3.75 billion last year.
