Tech Data Corp. Q4 Earnings Climb 8%

(RTTNews) - Tech Data Corp. (TECD) released a profit for its fourth quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $87.0 million, or $2.45 per share. This was higher than $80.9 million, or $2.29 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.17 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.7% to $7.43 billion. This was down from $7.48 billion last year.
