Tech Data Corp. Q4 Earnings Climb 8%

(RTTNews) - Tech Data Corp. (TECD) released a profit for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $80.9 million, or $2.29 per share. This was up from $74.9 million, or $1.96 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.09 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.9% to $7.48 billion. This was up from $7.34 billion last year.
