Tech Data Corp. Earnings Climb 51% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Tech Data Corp. (TECD) revealed a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $76.7 million, or $2.00 per share. This was higher than $50.9 million, or $1.44 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.92 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 40.8% to $9.14 billion. This was up from $6.49 billion last year.
