T-Mobile's New Unlimited Data Family Plan Only $100/month
(RTTNews) - T-Mobile has announced its unlimited 4G LTE Family Plan, starting at $100 for two lines. The cost rises by $40 for each additional line, up to eight more people. Previously, the company had been charging $140 for two phones with unlimited data.
In comparison, AT&T charges $100 for 15 gigabytes of unlimited data, a price reduction the carrier introduced last month.
"People are saying loud and clear that they hate the confusion and complexity of the carriers' shared data plans, and they should," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile.
"These plans are purpose-built to do one thing - take money from your pocket and put it into theirs. They threaten you with punishing overage penalties unless you police your own family's data usage or up your data bucket and spend more every month."
T-Mobile also announced that it was bringing back it's 10 GB of 4G LTE data for a family of four priced at $100. Customers get 2.5 GB per line until 2016 at which time the plan switches to 1 GB per line.
