SupplyHouse.com Welcomed Children in Crisis to Office for Holidays

MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SupplyHouse.com teamed up with Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York [Little Flower] in celebrating the holidays at their Winter Wonderland event. The event took place on December 30^th at SupplyHouse.com's headquarters in Melville, NY.

Little Flower is a not-for-profit organization that serves children, families, and developmentally disabled adults across New York City and Long Island. Little Flower has been helping children and families in need since 1930. With their commitment to improving the lives of those they serve, Little Flower provides foster boarding home care, residential treatment care, and adoption.

For the fifth consecutive year, SupplyHouse.com invited Little Flower to join them for a Winter Wonderland, where the company hosted 25 children that came from a variety of different backgrounds.  From 2:00 – 5:00pm children and employees enjoyed a fun filled day of games, karaoke, food, and more! "Spending the day with the children from Little Flower is always special," said Kari Stirnweis, Human Resources Manager. "It's great to see how our entire company gets involved and interacts with the children as a way to give back to the community. We set our office up as if it is a mini carnival to ensure the children have the best time possible. Seeing the kids laughing, smiling and really enjoying themselves is the best part of the day."

The company participates in many events throughout the year in order to give back to the community. Such events include volunteering with SCO Family of Services, Family and Children's Association, running food and toy drives, participating in Movember and more! Aside from participating in community events, they also provide scholarship awards to a local school district on Long Island.
