Robert Dumas named Financial Person of the Year

Finance et Investissement honours Robert Dumas as one of
Quebec's top 25 in the financial sector

MONTREAL, Feb. 7, 2018 /CNW/ - Robert Dumas, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Financial Quebec, was named "Financial Person of the Year" at an event for the Top 25 in Quebec's financial sector, organized by Finance et Investissement.

This prestigious title is a testament to Sun Life's focus in Quebec, enhancing our brand and building closer ties with Quebecers. In 2010, Sun Life made a pivotial move, creating a presidential role and leadership team in Quebec. Leaders, employees and advisors have worked hard to make Sun Life Financial a household name in Quebec.

Robert Dumas joined Sun Life Financial in 2012 and became President in 2014. A recognized expert in the pension world with 30 years of experience, he has extensive knowledge of the needs and expectations within the Quebec business market. Mr. Dumas is actively involved within the industry and also supports many charitable causes. He is Chairman of the Board of the Pointe-à-Callière Museum Foundation and a Board Member of Dans la rue and Centraide of Greater Montreal, for which he heads Sun Life Quebec's annual fundraising campaign. He also sits on the boards of the Théâtre du Nouveau-Monde, the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec and Finance Montréal.
