PROVIEW International Adopts Manhattan Associates' RFID Solutions; Supply Chain Solutions Provider to Power Leading Display Device Producer's RFID Compliance

Leading supply chain solutions provider, ManhattanAssociates (NASDAQ: MANH) announced today that PROVIEW InternationalLimited, one of the world's top display devices producers, hassuccessfully implemented Manhattan Associates' RFID Solutions tosupport compliance at its manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China.By providing a solid, yet flexible foundation for RFID integrationacross PROVIEW with its Integration Manager and EPC Manager solutions,Manhattan Associates has enabled PROVIEW to meet the RFID mandates ofone of its retail customers, Best Buy Co., Inc., ahead of schedule.

PROVIEW's legacy system didn't have the capability to handle RFIDgenerated data and the EPC functionality required to meet theRFID-tagging mandate at its Shenzhen manufacturing facility. PROVIEWapproached several international supply chain solution providers toidentify the right solution--one that would provide low total cost ofownership and allow PROVIEW to easily scale the solution to supportadditional RFID equipment and production lines with very little helpfrom the solution provider and with minimal impact on PROVIEW'scurrent processes.

The data is also integrated back tothe legacy system to generate reports for internal use or AdvanceShipment Notices (ASNs) for the retailer. In order to minimize theimpact of the current process, new process flows incorporated thecurrent shipping label with the RFID smart label, so no additionalwork is required to apply RFID labels. Additionally, the RFID-taggingprocess is portable to any production line in the facility. This givesPROVIEW the flexibility to conduct RFID-tagging at any available line.In addition to providing RFID solutions to PROVIEW, we also advisedthem on how to engage with the retailer by helping PROVIEW betterunderstand RFID mandates and implementation strategies including thepros and cons of different RFID equipment."
