MAKO Surgical Corp. (MAKO) is jumping 83 percent to $29.69. Stryker Corp. (SYK) has agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of the company for $30.00 per share in cash, for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $1.65 billion. SYK is down over 2 percent to $69.00.

Oncothyreon Inc (ONTY) is up 27 percent to $2.30 based on the news that Merck Serono has decided to continue clinical development of the investigational MUC1 antigen-specific cancer immunotherapy tecemotide (also known as L-BLP25 and formerly known as Stimuvax).

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (BRCD) is gaining 3 percent to $8.48 as it increased the authorization to repurchase its common stock from $308 million to $1 billion, following an expanded capital allocation strategy.

Ascena Retail Group Inc. (ASNA) is up 11 percent to $19.33 following the release of its quarterly results.

Decliners:

AutoZone, Inc. (AZO) is falling 0.56 percent to $412.00. The company's fourth quarter profit improved from the year-ago quarter and topped Wall Street view. Net sales rose 12.0 percent and matched the consensus estimate.

Landec Corp. (LNDC) is down 10 percent to $12.18. The company's first quarter profit missed Wall Street view, while revenue managed to come above the consensus estimate. At the same time, the company reiterated its fiscal 2014 financial guidance.
