PPL Corp. Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - PPL Corp. (PPL) reported that its third-quarter earnings increased to $410 million, or $0.62 per share, from $355 million, or $0.61 per share, a year ago. Adjusting for special items, third-quarter earnings from ongoing operations were $432 million, or $0.66 per share, for the quarer.

On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.68 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total operating revenues increased to $3.10 billion, from $2.40 billion, last year. Analysts expected revenue of $3.31 billion for the quarter.

PPL's increased 2013 forecast of earnings from ongoing operations is a range of $2.30 to $2.40 per share. Analysts expect the company to report 2013 profit per share of $2.34.
