PolyOne Corp Announces 5% Increase In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - PolyOne Corp (POL) reported a profit for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $47.5 million, or $0.54 per share. This was higher than $45.4 million, or $0.49 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.53 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 12.2% to $841.6 million. This was down from $958.4 million last year.
