O'Reilly Q3 Profit Tops Estimate; Boosts FY14 EPS Outlook

(RTTNews) - O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. (ORLY) reported net income for the third quarter of $217 million or $2.06 per share, compared to $186 million or $1.69 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Sales for the third quarter rose 9% to $1.88 billion from $1.73 billion for the same period one year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.95 per share on revenue of $1.85 billion for the third quarter.

Looking forward, the company forecasts fourth quarter earnings of $1.60 to $1.64 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.67 per share for the fourth quarter.

For the full year 2014, the company now forecasts revenue of $7.1 billion to $7.2 billion and earnings of $7.19 to $7.23 per share. Previously, the company forecast full-year revenue of $7.0 billion to $7.2 billion and earnings of $7.00 to $7.10 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $7.15 per share on revenue of $7.16 billion for the full year 2014.
