New York & Co Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Women's apparel retailer New York & Co Inc (NWY) on Thursday reported second-quarter net loss of $146 thousand or $0.00 per share compared with a loss of $147 thousand or $0.00 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.03 per share.

Revenues for the quarter were up 4.3% at $235.7 million compared with $226.1 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.02 per share on revenues of $231.9 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Comparable store sales increased 3.8% for the quarter.

For the full year 2015, the company expects net sales and comparable store sales to increase by a low to mid-single-digit percentage versus last year.

Analysts expect sales to grow 2.2% for the year.
