Partnership with First Caribbean Education Group Gives Puerto Rican Students Access to Technology-Empowered Curriculum
LeapFrog SchoolHouse, the school division of LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:LF), today announced its international expansion into Puerto Rico. Through a partnership with First Caribbean Education Group (FCEG), public and private schools in Puerto Rico will have access to LeapFrog SchoolHouse's full suite of research-based, proven-effective, multisensory learning tools, including the award-winning LeapTrack(TM) Assessment & Instruction System.
Since its introduction in the US in 1999, LeapFrog SchoolHouse has experienced tremendous success in the K-12 education marketplace. With products in over 40,000 classrooms across the country, the company was recently recognized by Simba Information as one of the fastest-growing educational software publishers in the United States(1). By leveraging the company's expertise in language development skills, LeapFrog SchoolHouse intends to replicate that success internationally, starting with Puerto Rico. Plans are also in development for other international markets.
"Puerto Rico is a natural first step for us to enter the international marketplace," said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, president of LeapFrog SchoolHouse. "Our Spanish/English products are able to assess language development skills in either language and prescribe individualized learning paths for each student. We're excited to bring our engaging, technology-empowered curriculum to classrooms throughout Puerto Rico and inspire a love of learning in a whole new group of school children."
First Caribbean Educational Group (FCEG) is a Puerto Rico company founded in 2004 to serve Puerto Rico public and private schools in the PreK-12 education market. The company has a distributorship agreement with LeapFrog SchoolHouse.

In 2004, the company received three Awards of Excellence from Technology & Learning Magazine, the leading publication in the K-12 education technology market.
