Hub International Barton Names New President/COO and CSO

    CHILLIWACK, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 2005--Hub International Barton Limited ("Hub Barton"), a subsidiary of Hub International Limited (NYSE/TSX: HBG), announced today that James S. Barton and George C. Robertson (Chad), have been appointed President/Chief Operating Officer and Chief Sales Officer, respectively. Mr. Barton succeeds R. Craig Barton, who will remain as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hub Barton and President, Canadian Operations for Hub International Limited
    Hub Barton, British Columbia's largest insurance broker, was founded as Barton Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 1948. Barton Insurance became a Hub International company in 1998. Jim Barton began his career with Barton Insurance in 1977 and was named Senior Vice President of Hub Barton in 1991. Chad Robertson has been with Hub Barton since 1988. Until being named CSO, Chad Robertson, served as Senior Vice President, a position he held since 1995.
