H&E Equipment Services Q3 Profit Rises, But Results Miss View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - H&E Equipment Services, Inc. (HEES) reported third-quarter net income of $15.30 million or $0.43 per share, up from $13.95 million or $0.40 per share in the year-ago period.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter grew 2 percent to $275.04 million from $270.45 million in the same period last year. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $293.67 million for the quarter.

John Engquist, H&E Equipment Services' chief executive officer, said, "Our outlook for the remainder of this year and into 2015 remains positive as we believe our company will continue to benefit from the anticipated growth in the commercial construction markets in the United States. The significant capital projects forecasted for our Gulf Coast region related to major chemical, energy and manufacturing are reported to be on track."
