H&E Equipment Q3 Profit Spikes - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - H&E Equipment Services, Inc. (HEES), Friday posted a higher profit for the third-quarter, with increase in revenues, significantly from new equipment sales.

For the three-month period, the company reported net income of $13.9 million or $0.40 per share, compared with $3.7 million or $0.11 per share last year.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings per share of $0.35 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Total revenues increased 32.2 percent to $270.4 million from prior year's $204.5 million. Analysts expected the company to generate revenues of $244.14 million for the quarter. New equipment sales increased 84.1 percent to $90.2 million from $49 million a year ago.
