Green Thumb Industries Has Hit a Rough Patch. Here's Why Its Best Days Could Be Ahead.

Green Thumb Industries (OTC: GTBIF) had a rough second quarter. Comparable-store sales for the cannabis purveyer fell 1.1% from a year earlier, while gross margin dropped sharply to 45% from 49.9%.Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also fell to $53.1 million from $69.1 million, as pricing pressure and increased competition continued to weigh on several of Green Thumb's key markets.Revenue did increase 4.6% to $306.7 million, so the quarter wasn't a complete disaster.
