Google Has Evolved With A New Logo

(RTTNews) - Simple, uncluttered, colorful and friendly. That's how Google describes its new logo.

The new typeface is sans-serif and without any shadow or embossing, unlike its earlier logos. It has given blue, red, yellow and green to its letters. The "e" is slightly tilted and stylized. On its browser tabs, it has replaced the lower case blue colored "g" with an upper case "G" in four colors.

Google has presented an animation on its search page showing the wiping away of the old serif style logo and introduction of the new one.

According to the company, the change is mainly for the mobile platform, while the earlier styles were more suitable for desk tops.

On its blog, Google said, "This isn't the first time we've changed our look and it probably won't be the last, but we think today's update is a great reflection of all the ways Google works for you across Search, Maps, Gmail, Chrome and many others. We think we've taken the best of Google, and recast it not just for the Google of today, but for the Google of the future."
