GMAS Opens Huntsville, Alabama Office; Sees C-27J as FCA Solution
The office at 1525 Perimeter Parkway, Suite 150, will serve as theprogram office for the C-27J aircraft which GMAS will submit as asolution for the U.S. Army's Future Cargo Aircraft (FCA) program. Theoffice is in close proximity to Redstone Arsenal and will serve as thefocal point for the all the joint venture's Army Aviation programs.GMAS General Manager Howard Yellen will head the office when he joinsthe team in mid-November. GMAS Deputy General Manager Stan Yackel willalso be located at the Perimeter Corporate Park address.
The Huntsville location was chosen as part of GMAS' "customerfirst" philosophy and will facilitate immediate access andresponsiveness to customer needs.

GMAS is offering the C-27J Spartan aircraft to the Army for itsFuture Cargo Aircraft program and will also pursue other opportunitiesrequiring the use of a medium-range military airlift vehicle. TheFuture Cargo Aircraft program is a key component in the Army'stransformation of its fixed wing fleet and will fill the capabilitygap in joint aerial delivery systems. The FCA selection is currentlyplanned for FY06, with contract award in early 2007.
