Ford Recalls Over 100K Vehicles In North America
(RTTNews) - Ford Motor Co. (F), Tuesday announced six separate safety recalls in the North America to fix various defects in 100,610 vehicles.
About 92,000 Ford vehicles, the largest of the recalls, are being recalled to fix a problem with front axles that may shift out of place making the car inoperable. The recall covers 2013-2014 model Ford Taurus, Flex, and Interceptor models, and Lincoln MKS and MKT models, and 2012-2014 Ford Edge and 2014 Lincoln MKX models.
Ford is also recalling about 5,264 units of 2011-2014 model Ford F59 commercial stripped chassis vehicles to fix a defect in electric system that could lead to a possible fire.
Ford is also recalling about 2,100 units of 2014 Ford Escape models to fix a potential issue with the panoramic glass roof as well as about 200 vehicles of 2014 Ford Fiesta compact cars to repair a problem with a leaky fuel tank.
F is currently trading at $17.11, down $0.21 or 1.21%, on the NYSE.
