Engility Holdings Announces $66 Mln Contract Win - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Engility Holdings, Inc. (EGL), said it has been awarded a $66 million contract to provide technical, management, and analysis support to the John A. Volpe Transportation Systems Center.

Specifically, Engility will support the ongoing development, evaluation, and management of the Federal Aviation Administration's Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast or ADS-B program. The Cost Plus Fixed Fee award is valued at $66 million over three years.

ADS-B will provide the linchpin technology for the FAA's Next-Generation Air Transportation System, designed to make air travel more efficient, predictable, and environmentally friendly by moving air traffic control from ground-based radars to smarter, satellite-based, and digital technologies.
