Energy Transfer Equity Slips To Loss In Q4 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (ETE) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $473 million, compared to net income of $361 million in the same period last year.

Limited partner's interest in net loss was $701 million or $0.31 per limited partner unit, compared to net income of $272 million or $0.09 per limited partner unit last year.

Loss from continuing operations totaled $690 million or $0.31 per limited partner unit, compared to income of $245 million or $0.07 per limited partner unit last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.30 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues surged to $12.61 billion from $11.31 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $11.94 billion.
