Disney Climbs Off Worst Levels But Remains Firmly Negative
(RTTNews) - After falling sharply at the start of trading, shares of Disney (DIS) have regained some ground but remain firmly negative in afternoon trading on Wednesday. Disney is down by 4.4 percent after hitting its lowest level in almost a month.
The drop by Disney comes after the entertainment giant reported second quarter earnings and revenues that came in below analyst estimates, as weakness in its television division offset its recent box office success.
The company also announced a $147 million charge in connection with the cancellation of its Infinity video game line.
