Diageo Appoints Deirdre Mahlan As President, Diageo North America - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Diageo (DGE.L, DEO) announced the appointment of Deirdre Mahlan, currently the company's CFO, as President, Diageo North America. The company said, Deirdre's replacement will be announced in due course and until that time she will continue in her current role as CFO of Diageo. Larry Schwartz, President North America would retire by the end of the calendar year.

Diageo also announced several appointments to its North America Leadership. Tom Looney, currently president Diageo-Guinness USA has been appointed to the role of President, US Open and Control States. Jeff Ivey, Chief Commercial Officer will expand his role to include leadership of the company's National Accounts business as well as Commercial Capabilities. Tom Day, currently Senior Vice President of Sales for Diageo-Guinness USA is promoted to the role of President, for DGUSA.

Diageo also announced the appointment of Claudia Schubert, President Control States, to the role of General Manager, Continental Europe effective September 1.
