Tournament on April 15 - 16 offers chance to compete for prizes including a new car
    DeVry University, one of North America's leading career-oriented institutions for business, technology and management education, announced a new nationwide computer game tournament. The tournament will be held on Friday, April 15th from 3 - 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 16th from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. local time at 21 DeVry campuses in 17 markets across the country. It features a brand new computer game not scheduled to be released to the general public until this summer.     Individuals 17 and older can participate at DeVry University locations in one of the following metropolitan areas: Phoenix; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Denver; Miami; Orlando, Fla.; Chicago, Atlanta, Kansas City, Mo.; North Brunswick, N.J., New York City, Columbus, Ohio; Philadelphia; Houston; Dallas; Washington, D.C.; and Seattle.
    Local competitors in the tournament at each campus will have the opportunity to win prizes, including a new computer, headset, graphics cards, and video game packs. A single, national grand prize winner will also be awarded a new car valued at $20,000.

    Throughout the event, local DeVry University campuses will offer contestants the opportunity to participate in campus tours and attend information sessions about DeVry's associate and bachelor's degree programs, including DeVry's new game and simulation programming (GSP) degree program that will be introduced at a number of its campuses in the near future. This bachelor's degree program will prepare graduates for employment in the private and public sector game and simulation development industry as programmers, software engineers and project coordinators. The program will be offered beginning this summer at DeVry campuses in Phoenix, Ariz.; Fremont, Calif.; Alpharetta and Decatur, Ga.
