Deutsche Telekom Unit ICSS Enters Deal With VimpelCom Group - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - German telecom giant Deutsche Telekom AG's (DTEGY.PK) unit, International Carrier Sales & Solutions or ICSS, has entered into an agreement with the VimpelCom Group (VIP) to provide it and its affiliates with high-quality signaling services using an advanced modular system. ICSS bagged the deal with the VimpelCom Group following a competitive bid process.
While the general signaling agreement fixes the commercial details of the deal, VimpelCom's 14 operating companies would enjoy the flexibility of a tailored service set. The companies are present in Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Algeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe. They would select from a "menu" of signaling products and features according to their local needs.
Commenting on this, Evgeny Ryabov, General Manager of VimpelCom International Services B.V., said: " The partnership with Deutsche Telekom will provide us with a solution that fulfills our requirements in economies of scale along with a high-quality global approach."
