Computer Sciences Q2 Profit Surges

(RTTNews) - Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) reported second-quarter net income attributable to stockholders of $203 million or $1.34 per share, compared to $130 million or $0.20 per share in the previous year period. Profit per share from continuing operations was $0.93, compared to $0.69 per share prior year.

Revenues decreased 9% to $3.19 billion from $3.53 billion last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.83, on revenues of $3.35 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
